On July 23, 2019, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will host a Second Chance Workshop. The purpose of this event is to offer free assistance to those interested in seeking an expungement of their criminal history or restoration of a suspended driver's license. The event will be staffed by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office as well as private attorneys who will represent individuals pro bono. Event flyers in English and Spanish are attached, and your assistance in sharing this information with your network would be sincerely appreciated.

According to Indiana’s Second Chance Law, expungements may be granted for arrests that did not lead to convictions and certain past criminal convictions. Driver’s license suspensions due to speeding, operating without a license, or common traffic citations may be eligible for a diversion agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office.
This event is presented in partnership with the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic/Expungement Help Desk, Baptist Minister’s Alliance, the Community Resurrection Partnership, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Marion County Public Health Department.
